“Appa, what is a stickhead?”, Vishnu asked me one day.
Understanding which word he asked about (obviously), I asked him when, where and who said the word.
“Amma said it”
“When did she say it?”
“Amma was taking me to the Library (in car) and there was a bad car driver and Amma said, stickhead!”
“Well, it makes sense now. Some people have very little or no brains and we call them stickheads! Because, a stick is so thin and do not have a brain. Remeber; Only adults use that word, so you don’t.”
Dear Children, it’s easy to ask questions and it’s difficult to provide age-appropriate answers :-)
